My Ashford Joy had spun many miles before she came to me. The wood was overall in good condition, but a lot of the hardware – especially the hinges – had seen better days.

I spent most of the day rehabbing this little wheel back to her former glory. It took everything from aluminum foil + vinegar to a potato + baking soda, but I am happy to say that the Joy is now rust-free, and with the help of a heavy duty Scotch Brite pad & a whole lot of elbow grease, most of the rust stains have also disappeared!

To clean the wood, I used Method’s Wood for Good Daily Clean and then finished with a nice coat of Howard’s Feed ‘n Wax. Not only is the Joy clean, but now she shines once again! I’m looking forward to spinning many miles of my own with this little wheel! 😊
